Meet the Housing Staff
Housing and Residential Life employs three professional staff, an administrative assistant, and 22 residential student staff. Housing and Residential Life also partners with several other campus departments to provide services for students. The Housing Office, located in the center of Sebastian Commons Apartments on 49th Street, is open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday - Friday, with professional staff being available during traditional business hours. Beth joined the UAFS family in Fall 2009 and is currently the director of Housing and Residential Life. Beth’s role is to manage all on campus housing options by focusing on facility and student needs. Her mission is for students to have a successful time living on campus by being engaged in their surroundings. Beth’s housing experience includes her undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota and her MBA from Northwest Missouri State University. Beth and the rest of her staff are just a short email or phone call away. Go Lions!
Lion's Den Resident Director
Jewels became a part of the UAFS team in June 2015 as the Sebastian Commons resident director. As such she is responsible for overseeing the SC resident assistants and supporting them in building a positive, welcoming, and educational living community. Jewels's Housing and Residential Life experience began during her time as an undergraduate at Texas Christian University. After graduating she became a hall director for a co-educational and an all-male building at McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. She has found joy in life with helping students grow through their collegiate experience!
Ricky began as a resident assistant as a sophomore in college, and Housing and Residential Life has been his passion since. Ricky served as a graduate hall director and marketing and technology graduate assistant at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he received a B.A. in political science, a B.A. in journalism, and an M.A. in higher education/student affairs. Ricky spent one year as a full-time community director at Texas A&M University – Commerce before joining the UAFS team in the Summer of 2015. He enjoys making the college experience as meaningful as possible for all students in order to help prepare them for their lives and careers.
